In 2013 my fiancee called me after her car had broken down. I quickly ordered an Uber and got to her within minutes. Once at the scene, I realized we needed roadside assistance. Securing help was extremely difficult and painful. For days after this experience I kept thinking of how easy it was to press a single button and get an Uber ride, but not for a quasi-emergency situation when you desperately need help. This got me digging into the roadside assistance industry, and subsequently realizing that the market is ripe for technology disruption.
